Dental Treatments in Mexico

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a titanium fixture placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. After 3 to 4 months of osseointegration, a custom abutment and porcelain crown complete the restoration.

Single implants from $710 USD. Full restoration (implant + abutment + crown) from $1,485 USD. Premium fixtures by Straumann, Nobel Biocare and BioHorizons.

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns restore severely damaged teeth; bridges replace one or several missing teeth using neighbouring teeth as anchors. Three options: porcelain-fused-to-metal ($495–$675), all-porcelain ($585), zirconia ($675). All hand-finished by master ceramists.

Porcelain Veneers

Ultra-thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of the teeth to correct shape, colour and alignment. From $620 USD per tooth. Lumineers (no-prep veneers) at $585 USD per tooth. Smile design typically uses 8 to 10 veneers on the upper arch.

Whitening & Aesthetics

In-office laser whitening ($225 USD) lightens teeth by up to 8 shades in a single session. Composite white fillings ($65–$90) replace old metal restorations invisibly. Custom night guards ($110) protect against bruxism.

General Dentistry

Cleaning ($45), surgical extractions ($145), wisdom-tooth removal ($170), root-canal therapy ($450–$585). All performed under sterile conditions in accredited surgical centres.

Implants & Full-Arch Restoration

Single Implant

Best solution for replacing one missing tooth without involving the neighbouring teeth. Surgery lasts 30–60 minutes under local anesthesia. Healing 3 to 4 months before the final crown is placed.

All-on-4

Four implants per arch support a fixed prosthesis replacing all the teeth. Often loaded with a temporary fixed bridge the same day. Final prosthesis 3 to 4 months later. From $6,030 USD per arch.

All-on-5 & All-on-6

Five or six implants per arch distribute the load more widely — recommended for the upper jaw or in cases of significant bone loss. $7,560 USD (5 implants) or $8,955 USD (6 implants) per arch.

Bone Grafting & Sinus Lift

When bone volume is insufficient, a bone graft or maxillary sinus lift is performed before or simultaneously with the implant. Quoted individually based on the cone-beam CT scan.

Dental Treatment in Mexico — Step by Step

Free Consultation

Online video consultation with a digital review of any X-rays you already have. We send a fully itemised treatment plan and quote within 24 hours, with no commitment.

Travel & Arrival

Our coordinator handles airport transfer, hotel and clinic logistics. Most international patients fly into Mexico City International Airport (MEX); transfer time is 30–45 minutes.

Treatment Days

Day 1: in-clinic clinical exam, panoramic X-ray and cone-beam CT scan. Day 2 to 5: surgical placement of implants and/or preparation of crowns and veneers. Temporary restorations placed before you leave.

Follow-up & Second Visit

Remote follow-up by video for 6 weeks. Second visit 3 to 4 months later for placement of the final implant crowns or prosthetic arch. This visit lasts 3 to 5 days.

Recovery After Dental Treatment

First 48 hours

Mild swelling and tenderness, easily controlled with prescribed medication. Ice packs the first day. Soft, cool diet. Avoid rinsing the first 24 hours.

Week 1

Antiseptic mouthwash twice daily. Soft diet, avoid hot drinks. Sutures removed at day 7–10 (or absorbable). You can fly home from day 3 onwards for implants, day 1 for crowns and veneers.

Osseointegration

The implant fuses with the bone over 3 to 4 months — this is invisible from the outside. You wear a temporary restoration during this period. The final crown is placed at the second visit.

Long-term Care

Implants and crowns last 20+ years with normal hygiene. Brush twice daily, floss, professional cleaning twice a year. The 5-year guarantee covers any prosthetic failure not caused by trauma.

Risks & Complications

Implant-related Risks

Implant failure (failure to integrate) occurs in less than 2% of cases — corrected by replacement at no additional cost under the 5-year guarantee. Peri-implantitis is rare with good hygiene. Sensory disturbances are exceptional with experienced surgeons.

Crown & Veneer Risks

Sensitivity in the first weeks is common and resolves spontaneously. Debonding is rare and easily corrected. Fractures are uncommon with porcelain and very rare with zirconia.

Anesthesia

Most procedures are performed under local anesthesia. IV sedation is offered for anxious patients. General anesthesia is reserved for full-mouth surgery and is administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist in an accredited surgical centre.

How We Minimise Risks

Board-certified prosthodontists and oral surgeons, premium implant systems, cone-beam CT planning, sterile technique. 5-year written guarantee on prosthetic and surgical work.

FAQ about Dental Treatments
in Mexico

How much does a dental implant cost in Mexico?

A single dental implant at Argaman Plastic Surgeries Mexico starts at $710 USD. The full restoration including the abutment and a porcelain crown is $1,485 USD. International patients save up to 70% compared to prices in the US, Canada or Europe.

Are dental treatments safe in Mexico City?

Yes — when performed by board-certified dentists in accredited private surgical centres. Argaman Plastic Surgeries Mexico partners exclusively with prosthodontists and oral surgeons holding international certifications, working with FDA- and CE-approved implant systems (Straumann, Nobel Biocare, BioHorizons).

How long do I need to stay in Mexico City for dental work?

Crowns and veneers usually require 5 to 7 days. Dental implants are placed in two stages: a 3 to 5 day stay for the implant surgery, then a return visit 3 to 4 months later for the final crown. Same-day temporary restorations are placed before each departure.

Do you offer a guarantee on dental work?

Yes. All implants and prosthetic work come with a 5-year written guarantee. The implant fixtures themselves carry a lifetime manufacturer warranty.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The first consultation is conducted by one of our dentists to establish a precise diagnosis and a fully itemised treatment plan, at no cost. You receive a transparent quote — with no obligation — before any travel is booked.

Which implant brands do you use?

All the implants we use meet the highest international standards: FDA-approved (United States), CE-marked (European Union) and NOM-certified (Mexico). Every implant comes with a manufacturer warranty card, serial number and lot number that you keep for life.

Can I combine dental treatment with plastic surgery?

Yes — many international patients combine dental and aesthetic procedures in a single trip. We coordinate the schedule so dental and surgical recoveries do not overlap. Ask for a combined quote during your consultation.

Is dental treatment painful?

No — most patients describe mild discomfort, well controlled with a few days of standard medication. IV sedation is available for anxious patients, and general anesthesia for full-mouth procedures.
