Neck Lift in Mexico
Neck Lift
A neck lift restores a clean neck contour by tightening the platysma muscle (correcting the vertical ‘turkey neck’ bands), removing or repositioning excess fat beneath the chin, and re-draping loose skin. It is one of the most impactful ways to rejuvenate the lower face.
Who is a good candidate?
Adults with loose platysma bands, excess under-chin fat or sagging neck skin, in good health and non-smokers. It is often done alongside a face lift, but can stand alone when the neck is the main concern.
Expected results
A smooth, defined neck and a crisp jaw-to-neck line. Results settle over 2 to 3 months and are long-lasting, especially when the platysma is tightened.
How the Surgery is Done
The neck lift is performed under general anaesthesia or deep sedation with a certified anesthesiologist.
Step 1 — incisions
Small incisions are placed under the chin and/or around the ears, depending on what needs correcting.
Step 2 — muscle & fat
The platysma bands are tightened in the midline (platysmaplasty) and excess submental fat is removed or refined.
Step 3 — skin & closure
Loose skin is re-draped and any excess trimmed, then the incisions are closed with fine sutures.
Incisions & Scars
A small incision hides under the chin, and when skin is re-draped, further fine incisions follow the natural creases around the ears — all discreet and well concealed once healed.
